Drone Attack
The UAE Ministry of Defense affirmed that the air defenses engaged three drones Sunday, two of them were intercepted, while the third one hit a power generator outside the internal perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi.
In a statement, the Ministry highlighted that investigations are underway to determine the source of these attacks, noting that any further developments will be revealed after the investigations conclude.
The Ministry confirmed that it maintains a high level of alert to deal with any potential threats and resolutely stave off any move that intends to destabilize state security, ensuring the protection of the nation's sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as its interests and national gains.
Earlier today, the Abu Dhabi Media Office announced that the relevant authorities had handled a blaze that erupted in a power generator outside the internal perimeter of the plant after being attacked by a drone, without recording any casualties.
